Tony Luke shown on the right was there to serve up some fantastic food that has become a Philadelphia tradition. "Tony Luke" Old Philly Style Sandwiches, a family owned and operated business.

Don't forget the Ultimate Cheesestake Challenge!

A huge cheesesteak that come in around 5 lbs!

Class participation turned out well, as the guests that attended were very interested in the winemaking process. Questions were answered that informed and enlightened the curious. Throughout the various classes there were two Power-Point Presentations for the guests to view and see hands on methods and techniques used to make wine.

After each of the 4 classes over the weekend came the fun part for the students/guests, the serving and sampling of the different homemade wines. Among this years selection we had Cabernet Sauvignon, Chianti, Zinfandel (Big Hit), Pinot Noir, and Barolo for the hearty REDS. Then for the WHITES we served Un-Oaked Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Argentine Trio a blend of three varieties (Chardonnay-Riesling-Viognier), Thompson Seedless, and the wine we made last November herat at the festival called "Dover Downs Festival Wine 08". There was also a third category, the desert wines that consisted of a Traditional Ice White and Ice Red, which were very sweet. The last big hitter was "Black Raspberry Merlot".

After each of the classes the quests mingled about and asked questions while enjoying the free samples of homemade wine. We gathered all together to pose for a group picture. All in all it was a fun time and we hope to be back next year for the 9th Annual "Dover Downs Wine and Music Festival" in 2010.
