After each of the 4 classes over the weekend came the fun part for the students/guests, the serving and sampling of the different homemade wines. Among this years selection we had Cabernet Sauvignon, Chianti, Zinfandel (Big Hit), Pinot Noir, and Barolo for the hearty REDS. Then for the WHITES we served Un-Oaked Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Argentine Trio a blend of three varieties (Chardonnay-Riesling-Viognier), Thompson Seedless, and the wine we made last November herat at the festival called "Dover Downs Festival Wine 08". There was also a third category, the desert wines that consisted of a Traditional Ice White and Ice Red, which were very sweet. The last big hitter was "Black Raspberry Merlot". |
